Thank You Camp

1.

My friend gave me a loaf of bread she baked herself.

When she set it on my counter, she explained everything that was wrong with it. She had overkneaded it and it hadn't risen properly. It didn't have a good crumb structure. (I'm still learning to bake — I don't know what a crumb structure is!)

It tasted great, especially with butter. I made a sandwich with it the next day, also great. I forgot about it for a day or two, and when I remembered I found it moldy. That's okay. I'm just thankful to my friend for doing something so kind for me.
